Transportation TV News Update: TRB Annual Meeting 2019 Preview

This week’s Transportation TV News Update—previews the 98th Annual Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting which begins Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019 in Washington D.C. TRB Executive Director Neil Pedersen tells Transportation TV, that the colossal conference, which attracts more than 13-thousand participants from around the world, will move forward as planned despite a partial government shutdown. Pedersen also explains this year’s spotlight theme: Transportation for a Smart, Sustainable and Equitable Future. AASHTO President Carlos Braceras–executive director of the Utah DOT—is one of the dozens of volunteers from 30 state departments of transportation who have volunteered their time to serve as expert panelists. Braceras will participate in a seminar titled Today’s Teen, Tomorrow’s Transportation Professional: Adapting and Preparing for the Future of Work.
