Special Report: Integrating Resilience into Decision-Making: The Need for Metrics and Methods

AASHTO Transportation TV presents a Special Report on the Knowledge Session, Integrating Resilience into Decision-Making: The Need for Metrics and Methods, sponsored by RS&H. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, in 2021, the U.S. experienced 20 separate billion-dollar weather and climate disasters. Dave Sweeney, Chief Executive Officer at RS&H, served as session moderator–leading the panel discussion on what can be done to make the nation’s transportation infrastructure more resilient. The distinguished panel included Marc Williams, Executive Director of the Texas DOT; Ed Sniffen, Deputy Director for Highways at the Hawaii DOT, Will Watts, the Assistant Secretary for Engineering and Operations at Florida DOT; and Aimee Flannery, a Surface Transportation Analyst from the Office of the USDOT Secretary.
