Testifying in Washington, on behalf of AASHTO June 13, Bill Panos, director of the Wyoming DOT, told members of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works why connected and autonomous vehicles will bring both opportunities and challenges to state DOTs across the country. In particular, he focused on the safety benefits such vehicles can deliver, as well as roadway design changes they’ll foster as well.
