Eric Duff of the Georgia Department of Transportation received the Alfred E. Johnson Achievement Award. As State Environmental Administrator, he has reshaped Georgia DOT’s environmental program through innovative partnerships and strategic coordination. His leadership helped launch the Interagency Office of Environmental Quality, develop key Section 106 and local coordination procedures, and advance a unified approach to environmental reviews across multiple federal laws. Eric also led the creation of two Bat Programmatic Agreements that streamline ESA compliance, protect habitat, and save valuable time and resources, earning national recognition from FHWA. His work continues to elevate environmental stewardship and collaboration across the state.
